Logtown Climbing SAVED!
UPDATE: 2/5/2025
The Ohio Climbers Coalition (OCC) recently talked to a representative of the Western Reserve Land Conservancy (WRLC) concerning the purchase of the land that includes the Main Cliffs at Logtown, near Lisbon Ohio. They are getting all the funding sources together to purchase the property. Once purchased, the property will be turned over to the Columbiana Park District to be part of their park system, securing climbing there for years to come.
The 29+ acres sold for about $300,000.00. After a large grant, about $90,000 was still needed and was eventually raised by the WRLC. Climbers helped raise some of the funds through the Access Fund, which supplied a grant to WRLC for the purchase. The OCC just sent the WRLC a check for $5,000.00, which was raised on the OCC website by generous climbers that wished to help Save Logtown. In addition to the $5,000.00, $1,080 was raised that will be used to purchase 3 benches, which was part of the original agreement when the OCC first approached the landowner.
Thanks go out to all that made this purchase possible. There are plans to hold a Grand Opening later in the year to celebrate the purchase. More details to follow when they become available.

I got an email yesterday from a representative of the Columbiana Park District. They now own what climbers call Logtown or Lisbon Quarry! This purchase involved multiple agencies and individuals. It took over half a decade to complete, but climbing at Logtown is now secure!
YES!
